Lose Weight, My suggestions
59Why we are fat
Before i start, i would like to very quickly declare that I am not a dietrician or a some qualified aerobics instructor or anything like that, all the content below is my personal own guidlines and suggestions, if you choose to listen to what i have to say is your choice alone and no one should make that choice for you,
I used sit at a computer all day at work and can be sat at my computer when i came home, i'm pretty sure alot of people out there are the same,
If i want food, it's in my cupboards waiting for me,
when i went to work i'd catch a bus there and a bus back
In todays day and age it is very possible to go through the day without breaking a sweat or even walking a mile in total throughout the day.
The result in this easy living life style, fat bellies and depression, this is the height of human evolution, struggleing to breath under our own body mass as we ask that epic question "Why? . ."
We can sit there and choose to blaim Society, blame your teachers, your bosses, your work, your children, but at the end of the day, we really only have ourselves to blaim, because, at the end of the day, no one else made you eat that extra snack, no one else made you sit there and watch TV or play a computer game -
before i go even further i've probably offended some people already, I don't mean to do this, we've all seen those people about, always jogging, bragging about how fit and healthy they are, - believe me, i hate them as much as you do, if you exercise, you exercise for your own reasons, don't go bragging about it and making everyone else feel bad about themselves, it's just bad karma
but as i said, it is our fault and before we can come any where near resolving this issue, we need to confess this to our selves
and again, please don't let this get you down, i've blaimed myself and from this we can make amends
The Answer
But firstly, ask yourself, are you happy with yourself, if you are happy then you don't need to do a thing, you have nothing to worry about -
but if you are unhappy about your weight, please don't moan about it, because it annoys people, "I'm fat no one would want to date me" it's annoying because, the answer you'll get is "well why don't you do something about your weight then" the answer is simple
i'm not one to put anyone down for being big, most of my family are big and i love them, most of my friends are big, i love everyone the same weither you big, small, skinny what ever, because we all now that when it comes down to it, it's personality that Governs over all.
So once i was in the mind set that this is myfault, i was ready to do something about it, while i was sat there blaiming everyone else for me being over weight, it was easy to except it, "well is not my fault i'm like this so why should i worry" that was the kind of actitude i had, but i know alot of you out there are concerned about your weight and would like to do something about it.
we've all heard the answers all before, either you diet, or you exercise
Dieting - this is simple, we watch what we eat, include more vegatables in our food, have less sugar in our tea, make sure we stay within the guidlines of what the specialist believe we should consume throughout the day - the only real task with this is will power
Eat Slower - it takes 20 minutes for the brain to register that we have eaten, or stomachs can be full after the first 10 minutes of eating, so we are consuming an extra 10 minutes of food, so eat slower, give your brain chance to register that it is full, you won't need to eat as much.
Eat more regularly - How in the world does that help me lose weight? - eat more regularly, but it small amounts, this sets our stomach to be constantly digesting, we never feel hungry because we've always got food in out stomachs, and this also raises our motabolism so that we burn off calories quicker
Don't starve yourself - if you purposfully don't eat, your body goes into winter mode, it starts to think that there isn't as much food to eat, so what it does eat it turns to fat to last you though the winter period were there is no food to consume, so eat, otherwise you can harm yourself -
- also if you don't eat for a long period of time, your stomach will lose the lining it requires to digest food, so when you start eating again your stomach acid will disolve the now very thin lining of your stomach leading to death, so let's avoid this little mistake
problems with may encounter -
- we wake up in the middle of the night starving, their answer, your body is actually thirsty you need a drink - WHAT! that sounds like the biggest pile of fertaliser i've ever heard, but, give it ago
- we may always feel hungry - well, this is all in your head, i had found that every time I decided to go on a diet i was constantly hungry, that's because all i was thinking about is food because i wasn't allowed it, and when food is the only thing on your mind and you're worrying about it, it become sthe only thing you want, so if all you want is food, you become hungry - so don't think about food and don't worry about it
Exercise - yep that dreaded word - but it is vital to the success in losing weight - I now work out roughly 3 times on a good week, for about 45 minutes each time, so that's really only 2 and a quarter hours a week, it's nothing - but i have now also got into the habit of waling to work and back, it takes me 35 minutes either way so that's an hour and 10 minutes a day, but, sitting arounf waiting for the bus takes me just as long to got to where i'm going
so key point one, walk more
when i'm working out the important things are always, warm up and warm down, someties these are more painful than the actual exercise, this is fine, but it's important becase it gets our bodies ready for what we are about to do, the warm down gets rid of all the collect lactic acid in our bodies that makes us feel in pain when we wake up the day after
my actual work our consists of running for warm up, 12 minutes, 30 sit ups, 12 push ups, 20 dorsel raises, 15 tri dips, 30 sit ups, 12 push ups, 20 dorsel raises, 15 tri dips, 30 sit ups, 12 push ups, 20 dorsel raises, 15 tri dips, 5 minute run, warm down.
your warm up and warm down is just basically a series of stretches to get you body limbered up, alot of people neglect to do these, please don't forget them, they are important
by following this simple routine 3 times a week, within 3 months i had managed to lose a stonne and a half so i am very impressed by the results and couldn't be more happier with them.
The Conclusion
Eat right and exercise, this is all we need to know, the hardest part is enforcing it on ourselves and sticking with it and doing something about it before it does become too late
but advantages about this, we lose weight, we feel more confident in ourselves, when we are more confidet we are able to do more things that we'll enjoy, and feel even more better about ourselves
And now for the science bit
never over do exercise to the point it hurts, if it hurts then you won't want to do it again, it's all phycological
when we exercise it releases endorphins, which is the bodies happy chemical, that's why i was getting depressed when all I was doing was sitting around all day, because the body doesn't release them when you sat still, so by exercising we are making ourselves happier, then we also get happier because we are losing weight and getting to our target goals, then because we're happier about that we try harder, it's an on going cycle
I myself have found that it does become addictive, if i go too long with exercising i feel as though I'm letting myself down, so you find yourself wanting to exercise, it's actually quite impressively spooky, but it happens
My words to you
love your self, be happy to be you, you are the only you out there so you should be happy with this fact, don't ever let any one get you down by your weight, at the end of the day it's bad karma for them and they'll get what they deserve, where as you can simply lose the weight, they'll still be a socially unexcepted member of society, (wanted to swear there but thought better of it lol)
so what you do from here is upto you, it's your choice alone and as i've said before, no one should make that choice for you, you yourself need to say, "I'm going to do something about it" but what ever happens, don't forget to be you.
Yours Sincerely
Chouji
